Serving Together in the Emmaus Community

Below are many ways for you to serve God through the Mid Ohio Valley Emmaus Community. Our needs are greatest surrounding Walks and Flights. We encourage each community member to find at least one way to share God's agape love during each retreat. Read further to see how God might use you in the life of a Pilgrim!

Agape
Provide small agape gifts of God's love. Typically we need 50 pieces for Women's Walks, 30 pieces for Men's Walks, and 25 pieces for each Chrysalis Flight. Contact our agape committee to volunteer.

Kitchen
Teams of two are needed to oversee each day's meals, plus lots of extra servers for each meal during our Walks and Flights. If you can't work at camp, conference room snacks are also needed. Contact our kitchen committee to volunteer.

Logistics
Join the hidden team that makes sure everything (from tables to toilet paper) is where it needs to be before it's needed. Contact our logistics committee to volunteer.

Music
Share your love of music with the Emmaus Community during Gatherings, a weekend Walk or Flight. Contact our music committee to volunteer.

Live-In Teams
For consideration to serve on a live-in team for a Walk or Flight, contact our leadership committee for an application form. Live-in team members must have served in kitchen or logistics before consideration.

Spiritual Direction
Have you, as a clergy, been touched by the Walk to Emmaus? Please consider enlarging your territory of ministry by serving as a Spiritual Director on one of our Walks or Flights. Contact our leadership committee for more information.
